Job summary

Boston Government Services seeks an Electrical Engineer Power for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role provides CNS Mission Engineering support in facility design and production areas to expedite closure of configuration management changes returning to service after 90 days or more.

The engineer will apply NFPA 70/NEC and other standards in a nuclear-regulated environment, perform redlines, and verify document changes with drafting teams.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS Degree in Electrical Engineering plus 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Drug screening required.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
• DOE Q security clearance required; candidates considered with any current clearance status.

Responsibilities

• Develop design output per CNS standards (NFPA 70/ NEC, ASME).
• Work in NRC/DOE regulated environment; understand Conduct of Engineering/Operations for nuclear facilities.
• Interface with production and support organizations; strong verbal/written communication.
• Review Change Requests RTS >90 days and close them.
• Identify and revise Affected Documents related to CRs RTS.
• Perform walkdowns to verify CR work.
• Prepare redline markups in Affected Documents.
• Provide redlined documents to drafting for CM updates.
• Verify Affected Documents reflect CR work accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
