Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical & Automation Systems Engineer to anchor our automation strategy during a critical growth phase in California. You will design, commission, troubleshoot, and scale electrical and control systems across our new sauce manufacturing line and broader factory, partnering with Operations, Maintenance, IT, and Engineering.

You will mentor junior engineers, guide contractors, and help establish standards and best practices to build long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Computer) or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in electrical and industrial automation engineering.
• Experience supporting live production systems in a manufacturing plant.
• Proven track record leading automation scopes on capital projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Rockwell platforms and PLC programming.
• Knowledge of IT/OT integration, cybersecurity, and data flows.
• Familiarity with SCADA, historians, and industrial networks.
• Ability to mentor engineers and coordinate with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Own automation and electrical system design, commissioning, and ongoing support.
• Lead IT/OT integration between PLCs, SCADA, historians, and enterprise systems.
• Coordinate system integrators, panel builders, and installers with documentation and standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide vendors to ensure reliable operations.
• Participate in capital and improvement projects with scope management.
• Drive continuous improvement in automation platforms and safety compliance.
