Job summary

CenterPoint Energy, Inc. is seeking aSenior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage transmission and substation projects.

You will own scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and risk from initiation through commissioning and closeout, building an integrated iPMT with EPC partners and an Owner’s Engineer. You will enforce stage-gate governance, coordinate with engineering, controls, procurement, and regulatory teams, and ensure on-time, within-budget

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years in engineering/project/construction management within electric transmission/substation.
• Demonstrated EPC delivery experience and leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Portfolio management experience with EPC partners in an open-book or integrated team model.
• Expertise in integrated schedule/cost/risk controls and formal change management.
• Direct EHV experience (≥500 kV) delivering transmission line/substation scope preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• PMI/PM Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of high-voltage/EHV transmission and substation projects.
• Establish and manage an integrated project team (iPMT) under EPC with Owner’s Engineer.
• Enforce stage-gate governance and rigorous project controls across all phases.
• Own project scope, budget, schedule, safety, quality, and risk management.
• Coordinate procurement, contracting, and long-lead equipment strategies with EPC/OE partners.
• Oversee turnover, closeout, and lessons learned documentation.
