Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation is seeking a qualified construction Project Manager III to lead major EHV Transmission & Substation projects. You will own project delivery, manage P&L, and report to senior leadership, driving strategy, bids, scheduling, and field operations.

You will build client relationships, develop bids, and ensure safety and compliance while coordinating subcontractors and resources across large-scale projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, project management, or related field with 5+ years construction PM experience incl. 2+ years as PM II
• Alternative: 8+ years field experience with 3+ years supervising construction ops and 4+ years construction management; or 8+ years field with 5+ years supervision and 2+ years construction mgmt.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, motivation, vision and direction.
• Proven success in developing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Extensive knowledge of industry principles, procedures and best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing customers.
• Execute within regional model to support growth and build new client relationships and books of business.
• Review RFPs and lead development of bidding strategy and pricing; own financial decisions and budgets.
• Prepare take-offs, solicit material and subcontractor pricing, and complete bids in response to RFps.
• Select and train superintendents and foremen in job planning, contract interpretation, safety, and reporting requirements.
• Develop Project Plans including resource-loaded schedules, cash flow, materials, and safety plans.
• Conduct job site safety audits ensuring compliance with policies.
• Manage subcontractor relationships to meet schedule, scope, and safety expectations.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and manage changes, risks, and budgets.
• Develop cash flows, manage billing, and track change orders.
