Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation in Richmond, VA is seeking a Project Manager to lead EPC delivery of HV and EHV transmission line projects, overseeing engineering, procurement, and construction, and taking ownership of P&L for assigned projects.

You will coordinate with engineering teams, develop the Project Execution Plan, manage subcontractors, maintain QA/QC, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining strong client relationships and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field with 5+ years PM experience.
• Alternative: 8+ years field experience with senior supervision and 4+ years in construction management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, motivation and customer-relationship abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
• Review RFPs, bid strategy, proposals and pricing.
• Lead preconstruction services.
• Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan.
• Coordinate with engineering to distribute deliverables per schedule.
• Negotiate subcontract bid packages.
• Train field personnel on safety and contract documents.
• Ensure timely procurement and logistics.
• Maintain QA/QC and site safety audits.
• Prepare monthly invoices and cost forecasts.
• Report progress and cost status to management.
