Job summary

Think Power Solutions seeks an experienced EHV Transmission Construction Representative to oversee contractor performance on high‑voltage projects in Roanoke, VA. You will ensure safety, schedule, and design compliance while guiding field teams and mentoring junior staff.

Strong communication and leadership are essential to drive on‑time, within‑budget project delivery for critical infrastructure. The role requires 6+ years in transmission construction and a track record with 345-765kV

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in construction management or engineering is a plus.
• 6+ years of relevant transmission line and substation experience.
• Previous EHV experience preferred (345-765KV).
• Experience working in the utility industry is highly preferred.
• Compliance management experience is a plus.
• Proficient with computers, iPad and Microsoft Office products.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must currently be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor performance on electric transmission projects.
• Ensure safe completion of work in line with design specs and safety standards.
• Manage substation upgrades and construction of new substations.
• Identify issues impacting schedule, quality, and safety, and resolve them.
• Apply knowledge of line, substation and civil construction requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings for construction applications.
• Ensure compliance with Owner construction standards and safety terms.
• Lead independently and mentor junior Transmission Construction Representatives.
