Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) seeks a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead enterprise EHS programs for federal contracts. You will develop and improve EHS policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Operations, HR, Contracts, Quality, and site leaders across dispersed locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible EHS experience across complex or geographically dispersed operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of EHS leadership or program-management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root-cause analyses, safety audits, hazard assessments, and corrective-action management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting/tracking systems.
• Ability to travel to contract locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise EHS policies and programs across contracts and locations.
• Serve as senior EHS expert and partner to Operations, HR, Contracts, Quality, and site leadership.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state/local requirements and EM 385-1-1 where applicable.
• Integrate EHS requirements into daily operations, transitions, mobilizations, and proposals.
• Lead risk assessments, job hazard analyses, inspections, audits, and corrective-action processes.
• Oversee incident reporting and investigations, root-cause analysis, trends, and regulatory notifications.
• Develop and oversee EHS training, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and engagement initiatives.
• Provide coaching and technical direction to EHS personnel and subcontractors.
• Manage environmental compliance programs including hazardous materials, spill response, and air/water quality.
• Establish subcontractor qualification and safety planning processes.
• Leverage technology for EHS reporting, notifications, and corrective-action monitoring.
• Develop safety metrics and report risks and trends to senior leadership.
