Job summary

Aecon seeks a Sr. EHS Manager to oversee health and safety on Savannah River projects. You will provide expert advice, audit EHS programs, and drive continuous improvement in industrial hygiene and safety performance.

In this leadership role, you will mentor site teams, develop training, review plans for risk, and coordinate with regulators, subcontractors, and stakeholders. A background in construction safety and OSHA compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
• Recognized EHS certification such as CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, or equivalent.
• OSHA 500 certification.
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and OSHA 1904 recordkeeping is a plus.
• Post-secondary education or equivalent in Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety training and orientation for workers, supervisors, staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Review project plans and sites before work to identify safety risks.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, inspectors, subcontractors, and the public as applicable.
• Support the Industrial Hygiene Manager and continuously improve Health and Safety Programs.
• Mentor project staff in safety requirements and procedures.
• Represent the Company in safety meetings with stakeholders and organizations.
• Track and report safety KPIs and manage Return to Work and Modified Duties as needed.
• Lead investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
