Job summary

Sun Pharma is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) leader to manage the Ohm safety and environmental health programs in our manufacturing environment. You will ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and drive safety across the facilities.

You will develop strategic plans, lead investigations, train staff, manage audits, and partner with site leadership to embed a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in science related degree; M.S./PhD preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) highly desirable.
• Regulatory Expertise with complete knowledge of local, state and federal EHS regulations.
• Strong computer literacy and application capability.
• Hazard identification and accident investigation capabilities.
• Able to develop and deliver training and development activities.
• A team-building champion driving cross-functional synergies.
• Excellent project management and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of environmental management programs and related software is a plus.
• English proficiency at Intermediate-B1+ level (CEFR).

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to corporate and site leadership on EHS issues and guide facility planning and design.
• Develop and communicate EHS vision, and 3–5 year strategic plan; conduct EHS training and company-wide communications.
• Develop annual EHS goals; oversee deployment of EHS management systems and processes.
• Design, implement, and audit best EHS processes for projects.
• Monitor and report leading/lagging EHS metrics.
• Develop site-specific EHS plans, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance through self-inspections and audits; close corrective actions.
• Oversee accident investigations and implement prevention methods.
• Evaluate tasks for safety and ensure PPE usage when needed.
• Lead internal Safety Committee meetings and safety trainings.
• Manage personnel performance and coach direct reports.
