Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced EHS leader at our Texas site to ensure compliance with environment, health and safety regulations and to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance. You will support data-driven reviews, develop training, and implement site programs aligned with corporate EHS initiatives.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires an 8+ year background in manufacturing EHS, with expertise in electrical safety, LOTO, and risk-based auditing.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Environment, Health and Safety or engineering from an accredited university.
• At least 8 years of experience in an environment, health and safety position, preferably in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with senior management.
• Experience in electrical safety and LOTO, PITs, elevated work platforms & fall prevention, ergonomics, and training.
• Experience with HOP (Human and Organizational Performance) and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 standards; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Conduct environment, health and safety audits and risk assessments; participate in external audits.
• Develop training programs to align with regulatory EHS initiatives and site requirements.
• Coordinate fire and life safety controls with facilities maintenance and property management.
• Oversee site safety committee and a strong EHS team; drive Continuous Improvement/Lean/5S initiatives.
• Serve as site contact for government inquiries relating to EHS.
