Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an EHS Specialist to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements within a fast-paced distribution center. You will focus on PIT safety, ergonomics, material handling, and dock safety while partnering with site leadership to strengthen safe work practices and prevent injuries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of EHS experience in a distribution center, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or material-handling environment.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA requirements and other applicable EHS regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PIT safety, forklift operations, training, evaluations, and incident prevention.
• Understanding of ergonomics and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in warehouse settings.
• Experience facilitating instructor-led safety training and communicating requirements to hourly staff and leaders.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS policies, OSHA regulations, and local requirements.
• Lead safety programs including PIT safety, ergonomics, PPE, and lockout/tagout.
• Coach associates and leaders on safe behaviors and hazard identification.
• Manage the PIT safety program: training, certifications, audits, and records.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and change-management reviews; implement corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes to prevent recurrence.
