Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Safety Engineer to strengthen our EHS programs at a U.S. site. You will assist in deploying policies, drive improvement initiatives, and lead prevention-focused projects to reduce workplace incidents and costs.

The role emphasizes data-driven EHS performance, audits, and training development, with initial on-site work and structured shifts to support operations and safety excellence.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in EHS or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a designated EHS role within manufacturing.
• Experience leading continuous improvement for safety risks.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with senior management.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist data gathering and trend analysis to support EHS reviews.
• Help implement EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures across sites.
• Develop and deliver EHS training aligned with regulatory initiatives.
• Coordinate incident investigations and ensure corrective actions.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments of environments, health, and safety.
• Track corrective actions from risk assessments and audits.
• Participate in Safety & Ergonomic committee and Emergency Response.
• Lead EHS Continuous Improvement/Lean/5S activities.
