Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced EHS Leader in Texas to ensure regulatory compliance and drive performance with data-driven management. You will develop training, lead investigations, audits, and continuous improvements across operations.

You will report to Plant Management and build a strong EHS team, guiding policy implementation and Lean/5S initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Environment, Health and Safety Management or engineering from an accredited university is required.
• At least 8 years in an EHS role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with senior management.
• Experience in electrical safety and LOTO, PITs, elevated work platforms, fall prevention, ergonomics, and training.
• Experience with HOP (Human and Organizational Performance) and psychological safety is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of EHS guidelines and regulations; manufacturing environment experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations and employees comply with EH&S regulations and stay informed on regulatory changes.
• Assist in maintaining metrics and data input for management reviews; drive continuous EHS improvement.
• Develop and implement EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures; tailor programs to location-specific needs.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Conduct EHS audits and risk assessments; participate in external compliance audits.
• Coordinate corrective actions with site personnel from audits and risk assessments.
• Oversee fire and life safety controls and required permitting submissions.
• Lead the site safety committee and EHS training programs.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement/Lean/5S initiatives and team development.
