Job summary

Nanshan America AAT LLC is seeking a Health and Safety Leader in Lafayette, Indiana to oversee inspection and evaluation of environment, equipment, and processes for compliance with regulations and standards. The role emphasizes strong leadership, auditing, and program development within a manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will drive EHS programs, maintain safety manuals, and liaise with regulatory bodies while ensuring OSHA compliance and continual improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in occupational health, safety and environment.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and contributing to EHS compliance and regulatory policy, and programs development.
• Broad understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, risk assessment, and mitigation programs.
• Board Certified Safety Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts internal audits to verify EHS systems.
• Executes annual reviews related to Health, Safety and Environmental systems.
• Drives EHS programs for employee engagement at the site and provides training on safety topics.
• Creates, reviews, updates, and controls EHS manuals and procedures.
• Facilitates exchange of safety information among plant management.
• Stays informed on environmental rules and regulations and their facility impact.
• Implements and maintains Safety Management System components.
