Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead EHS programs on the plant floor, conducting audits and training across shifts.

You will manage incident investigations, risk assessments, and contractor safety while ensuring OSHA compliance and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets. This is an on-site role in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, construction, chemical processing, powder handling, or similar environments.
• Minimum of three years’ related experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety requirements, contractor management, permit-to-work, confined space, lockout/tagout, and hazard communication.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, macros).

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS team; conduct monthly training, audits, and meetings to promote awareness and continuous improvement.
• Investigate workplace incidents using root-cause analysis to identify underlying causes and implement corrective measures.
• Injury and illness case management and participation in return-to-work processes.
• Evaluate and monitor employee and contractor compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform risk assessments of ergonomics, equipment, process safety to identify hazards.
• Create and maintain waste profiles and manifests for all site waste streams.
• Design and implement safety programs, training classes, SOPs, and policies.
• Conduct regular production-floor audits and inspections to assess safety initiatives.
• Develop and deliver training on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Promote a culture of safety through behavioral-based programs.
• Lead maintenance of the plant Safety Data Sheet records database.
