Job summary

DPR Construction Glen Allen, VA is seeking a Safety Professional to lead EHS support for Self-Perform Work (SPW) projects. You will partner with SPW leadership to implement safety programs, training, and regulatory compliance, while guiding field EHS staff and ensuring consistent safety practices.

You will analyze EHS metrics, manage incident investigations, and coordinate training to drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation across projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 6–8 years of construction EHS experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• CHST or CSP certification preferred.
• STSC certification preferred.
• Experience supervising EHS staff.

Responsibilities

• Manages implementation of EHS programs and initiatives supporting Self-Perform Work (SPW) operations.
• Oversees EHS professionals supporting SPW crews; provides direction and performance management.
• Partners with SPW leaders to integrate EHS planning into daily activities.
• Reviews risk assessments, audits, and JHAs for safe practices and compliance.
• Manages incident investigations and corrective action tracking; communicates lessons learned.
• Monitors EHS performance metrics to identify trends and mitigation actions.
• Coordinates SPW EHS training, onboarding, and competency verification for field leadership.
