Job summary

Evergreen Innovation Group LLC in Glen Allen, Virginia, is seeking a Safety Professional to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support for self-perform construction activities. You will partner with SPW leadership to implement programs, train staff, and ensure regulatory compliance across projects.

The role manages EHS professionals, reviews risk assessments and JHAs, investigates incidents, and analyzes performance metrics to drive continuous safety improvements on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in construction EHS.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• CHST or CSP certification preferred.
• STSC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support for Self-Perform Work (SPW) operations on assigned projects or segments.
• Manages implementation of EHS programs and initiatives.
• Oversees EHS professionals supporting SPW crews; provides direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Partners with SPW superintendents, foremen, and operations leaders to integrate EHS planning.
• Reviews risk assessments, audits, and JHAs to support safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Manages incident investigations and corrective action tracking; communicates lessons learned.
• Monitors and analyzes EHS performance metrics to identify trends and mitigation actions.
• Coordinates SPW EHS training, onboarding, and competency verification.
