Job summary

Mondi Group, a global packaging and paper leader, seeks a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager for the Clinton, PA plant. You will lead environmental, health, and safety programs, ensure OSHA and EPA compliance, and drive continuous improvement aligned with ISO standards.

You will collaborate across departments to engage employees, investigate incidents, manage audits, and report metrics using Power BI, SAP, and ESDMS. This role requires strong regulatory knowledge and budgeting acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Advanced certifications preferred (CSP, CHMM, ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state environmental and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite; familiarity with digital SHE management systems (ESDMS, Power BI, SAP).
• Financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, or project justification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SHE programs across facilities to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification processes, including internal audits and management reviews.
• Oversee permitting and reporting for air, water, and hazardous waste (SPCC, SARA, RCRA, CAA, NESHAP, DOT).
• Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate hazards.
• Develop and execute annual SHE training plans; deliver key risk-area trainings.
• Monitor environmental metrics and drive waste reduction and resource efficiency; liaise with agencies.
