Job summary

Sharps Compliance, Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to lead safety and regulatory programs across a growing multi-site network.

You will partner with Operations, Fleet, HR, and site leadership to strengthen workplace safety, oversee complex audits, drive investigations, and mentor junior staff. The role requires designing training curricula, managing compliance data, and presenting reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety/environmental field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years of progressive EH&S experience across multiple sites.
• Experience leading safety inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations; regulated medical waste experience.
• Professional CSP/ASP/OSHA 30-Hour or higher preferred; CSP a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel 40–50% and work in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead OSHA, EPA, DOT, DEA, CDC, and state regulatory compliance across sites.
• Design and lead safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; drive corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents; implement root causes.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and curricula.
• Maintain EH&S data, records, and monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
