Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services in Louisiana seeks a Senior EH&S Specialist to lead safety programs across multiple sites. You will partner with operations, fleet, HR and site leadership to strengthen workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship.

This role owns audits, investigations, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will mentor junior staff, report to the EH&S leadership team, and operate with independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health, or related field.
• 5–7+ years EH&S experience across multiple sites.
• Experience leading safety inspections, audits, investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead OSHA, EPA, DOT and state environmental compliance across sites.
• Design and lead safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace injuries, incidents, and environmental events; implement corrective actions.
