Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to lead safety and regulatory compliance across a growing multi-site network. You will partner with Operations, Fleet, HR, and site leadership to strengthen workplace safety and environmental stewardship, own complex audits, investigations, and training programs, and mentor junior staff.

You will report to the EH&S leadership team, travel to locations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive EH&S experience across multiple sites.
• Experience leading safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state regulatory compliance across sites; manage permits and documentation.
• Design and conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; develop corrective actions.
• Investigate injuries and incidents; perform root-cause analysis and track actions to closure.
• Develop and deliver employee safety training programs and maintain training records.
