Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago is seeking a Discovery Advisor within our Litigation & Practice Technology group to lead high-stakes document review projects from start to finish, collaborating with attorneys and review teams to deliver efficient discovery solutions.

The role requires 7+ years in complex document review, deep eDiscovery knowledge, Relativity expertise, TAR, and GenAI capabilities to enhance accuracy and speed. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required and admitted to practice.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting complex document review projects.
• Deep knowledge of litigation lifecycle and eDiscovery protocols.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Relativity and major eDiscovery platforms.
• Experience using GenAI tools to streamline discovery workflows.
• Familiarity with TAR, analytics tools, and review design.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and manage review teams.
• Strong communication, problem solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Discovery Lifecycle Management – oversee end-to-end processes across large matters.
• Review Oversight & Execution – onboarding, training, and QA for review teams.
• Workflow Optimization – design and implement review workflows and defensible search.
• Project Coordination – define scope, track progress, and liaise with stakeholders.
• Analytics & Reporting – summarize findings and support depositions/trial prep.
• Technology Enablement – provide Relativity support and advanced searches.
• Knowledge Sharing – contribute to training and internal publications.
• Special Projects – handle urgent client or case team requests.
