Job summary

CGS Federal seeks a Senior eDiscovery Litigation Technologist in Washington, DC with Top Secret clearance to support federal litigation and FOIA efforts. The role blends legal and technical responsibilities within a fast-paced government contracting environment.

Hybrid/Remote work options are available, with duties spanning preservation, collection, processing, and production of ESI using FBI tools and related workflows. Strong Relativity experience and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience.
• 3 years of progressive more responsible experience on major lit support projects.
• 2 years in Relativity, beyond document review coding.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with both eDiscovery technical teams and non-technical business leaders.
• Experience with eDiscovery Services covering all realms of the EDRM (File to Trial).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (active clearance preferred).
• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience (JD highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor changes to laws affecting civil and criminal litigation and their impact on FBI Discovery.
• Monitor the commercial industry to apply new technology and best practices.
• Verify proposed solutions meet underlying needs.
• Conduct testing of system upgrades or patches prior to release.
• Verify proposed solutions deliver new forensic capabilities addressing requirements.
• Provide advice on identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, and producing ESI for civil litigation, select criminal matters, FOIA requests, and other inquiries.
• Monitor daily separation reports to identify departing legal hold custodians and ensure preservation of material.
• Update or create SOPs for the ETA role.
• Provide strong technical and legal background on electronic discovery applications.
