Job summary

CGS Federal in Detroit, MI seeks an Automated Litigation Support Lab Manager to lead a client-site eDiscovery lab, deliver data processing services per ESI specs, and manage a team of eDiscovery professionals. The role requires extensive Relativity experience, management background, and advisory duties to attorneys on EDRM phases.

You will coordinate with co-counsel and client agencies to ensure timely, accurate productions.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in eDiscovery roles including data processing, image and data file conversion, data culling, QA, retrieval, and analysis.
• Five+ years in management/supervisory roles.
• Thorough knowledge of litigation discovery and the EDRM workflow.
• Relativity certifications preferred (RCA and/or Analytics Specialist).
• Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with eDiscovery tools such as iConect, Relativity, Venio.

Responsibilities

• Lead manager for delivery of lab data processing services.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks; develop processing approaches for electronic files per ESI specs.
• Consult with attorneys and support staff on ESI practices; participate in teleconferences with co-counsel, client agencies and opposing counsel as needed.
• Ensure incoming productions conform to applicable ESI specifications; provide detailed notice of deficiencies to the case attorney.
• Keep the client informed on Lab activities, deadlines, technical challenges, and resource availability.
• Provide webhosting support for unsupported cases managed by the lab.
• Manage a team of eDiscovery professionals on client-site lab: scheduling, assessments, assigning work, deadlines, progress reports, QC.
• Advise client attorneys, paralegals, and case managers on all phases of EDRM: Data Collection, Processing, Hosting, Review, Analytics, Production.
