Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Software Developer (EDI) to lead end-to-end EDI workflows in a remote US-based capacity. You will own transaction processing, partner integration, and data validation across 270/271, 276/277, 820, 834, 835, 837, and related flows.

The role requires 8+ years of Edifecs/EDI experience, strong AWS skills, and proficiency with SQL and X12 validations. U.S. Citizenship is required; 100% US-based remote position with security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Edifecs product experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise operations.
• Experience with HIPAA compliance and healthcare payer workflows.
• Strong knowledge of SNIP validations and X12 transactions.

Responsibilities

• Own functional EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules.
• Analyze and troubleshoot SNIP validation results and partner-specific rules.
• Document mapping and integration changes for new partners.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud teams, and business units.
• Validate AS2/SFTP/HTTPS flows and reconcile data with SQL stores.
• Support audits, data quality guardrails, and performance improvements.
