Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Senior Software Developer (EDI) to own EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules in a remote role. You will interpret 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA, and ensure SNIP compliance with Edifecs tools and AWS.

Experience with Edifecs XEngine, AS2, SFTP, HTTPS and SQL is essential. You will collaborate with analysts, DevSecOps, cloud engineers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable B2B integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of payer/provider workflows and EDI X.12 loops/segments
• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot EDI errors and transactions
• Experience with Edifecs validation results and processing rules
• Experience with Edifecs routes, profiles, or rulesets
• Ability to work with SQL for transaction details and data validation

Responsibilities

• Own EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules
• Ensure accurate transaction processing and support business operations
• Interpret and troubleshoot 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA
• Document mapping and partner integration changes
• Collaborate with analytics, DevSecOps, cloud teams, and business stakeholders
• Support audit/compliance reviews and data quality guardrails
• Work with AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS data flows
• Validate payloads, timestamps, statuses and error flags
• Reconcile mismatches between raw EDI and stored data
