Job summary

Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator on the Economic Development team to drive the company\'s tax incentive strategy for global data centers. You will manage high-visibility, multi-decade agreements, engaging with government officials and cross-functional teams.

The role focuses on optimizing Total Cost of Ownership and minimizing risk across infrastructure projects. You will lead statutory due diligence, structure agreements with vendors and landowners, and mentor other negotiators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in site selection, economic development, corporate real estate, tax incentive structuring, or commercial contract negotiation.
• Experience presenting to elected officials, economic development authorities, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Identify, define, and pursue site expansion projects to meet Google's data center needs.
• Serve as a commercial liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders; influence executive-level strategy.
• Lead due diligence with government engagement and draft multi-decade agreement structures.
• Develop and manage portfolio metrics for site/infrastructure development and vendor relationships.
• Mentor negotiators and mitigate political and compliance risks across teams.
