Job summary

Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator within the Data Center Market Development team to lead complex, multi-party economic development incentive negotiations and tax structuring for global data center projects. You will collaborate across Legal, Tax, Public Policy and Operations to optimize total cost of ownership and secure durable incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Real Estate, Law, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in site selection, economic development, or related corporate real estate work.
• Experience negotiating with state/local authorities and taxing entities.
• Strong financial modeling and due diligence capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end negotiation of complex multi-party economic development incentive agreements.
• Conduct tax due diligence, financial modeling, and statutory analysis to quantify incentive value.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to evaluate project requirements and manage risks.
• Monitor regulatory trends to establish best practices and improve negotiation playbooks.
• Track portfolio metrics, OKRs, and KPIs to ensure timely compliance and performance.
