Job summary

AV is seeking a Senior ECAD Library Engineer to own the enterprise electronic component library and enforce data governance across all AV sites. You will collaborate with program engineers to ingest requests, prioritize work, and ensure library content supports schedules and designs.

You will serve as the SME for component data, artworks, and lifecycle data, maintaining accuracy and traceability across CAD, PLM, and ERP systems. Strong IPC knowledge and scripting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related STEM field, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic component library management or related governance role.
• Hands-on experience creating and managing schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D component representations.
• Knowledge of IPC-7351 and IPC-7251 land patterns and JEDEC outlines.
• Experience with CAD tools and scripting for data automation.
• Experience with PLM systems and supplier data sources.

Responsibilities

• Establish and govern enterprise electronic component library as primary owner.
• Collaborate with Chief/Design Engineers to prioritize library work.
• Serve as enterprise Component Library SME across Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality.
• Support multiple IPTs with authoritative library data and reuse guidance.
• Lead data standardization and harmonization across sites to reduce duplication.
• Maintain subsystem part records and enable reuse for accelerated builds.
• Audit library health and drive remediation.
• Develop training material for library standards and workflows.
