Job summary

Dell Technologies in Austin, Texas is seeking a Senior ECAD Library Engineer to own the creation, governance, and quality of ECAD library assets, including schematic symbols, footprints, and padstacks for high-performance laptops, desktops, servers and workstations.

You will collaborate with design, signal integrity, component engineering, and supply chain teams to anticipate library needs, enforce IPC/JEDEC standards, and accelerate hardware development with automation and robust data

Qualifications

• Strong Cadence Allegro/OrCAD skills and symbol/padstack expertise.
• Deep knowledge of IPC-7351 land patterns and JEDEC package outlines.
• Experience building library parts for complex packaging (BGAs, QFNs).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain schematic symbols, footprints, and padstacks per internal standards.
• Establish and govern library standards, naming, versioning, and release processes.
• Develop automation using SKILL, Python, Tcl for library creation and validation.
• Coordinate with PLM/ERP to align data with lifecycle management.
• Provide training and documentation on library usage and standards.
