Job summary

AV delivers battlefield-proven systems across domains. The Senior ECAD Library Engineer ensures a trusted component data foundation, governing library content and ensuring traceability and reuse across AV products.

The role collaborates with engineers to intake requests, supports multiple IPTs, and drives department-wide data quality and standardization for scalable, reliable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related STEM field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in electronic component library management or CAD data governance.
• Hands-on experience creating and managing schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D components.
• Working knowledge of IPC-7351 and IPC-7251 land patterns and JEDEC outlines.
• Experience with Altium Designer, Siemens Xpedition, or equivalent tools.
• Scripting/automation using Python, SQL, or PowerShell for data validation and migration.

Responsibilities

• Establish and govern the enterprise electronic component library as primary owner.
• Collaborate with engineers to intake requests and prioritize library work.
• Interface with suppliers and QA to ensure data meets enterprise standards.
• Support IPTs with authoritative library data and reuse guidance.
• Lead standardization of component data naming, classification, and reuse.
• Manage subsystem part records, footprints, and architectural definitions.
• Audit library data for accuracy and drive remediation
• Develop training materials for library standards and workflows
