Job summary

Humanoid is building the world's most capable humanoid platform. The ECAD Librarian will own and grow our Altium component library across the Boston and London EE teams, ensuring every part is accurate, manufacturable, and properly tracked from draft through production.

This foundational role reduces respin risk and rework by enforcing library standards, validating footprints against datasheets, and maintaining traceability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Altium Designer, including schematic library and PCB footprint creation.
• Strong attention to detail when cross-referencing datasheets, pin counts, and package dimensions.
• Familiarity with PLM concepts (draft/preliminary/released states) and manufacturing quality.
• Understanding of standard component conventions: REFDES schemes, tolerances, and approved alternates.
• Comfortable collaborating with distributed teams (Boston and London) and prioritizing library requests.

Responsibilities

• Own the Altium component library. Create, validate, and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models.
• Enforce library standards and naming conventions for parts and footprints.
• Manage part status workflow (Draft → Preliminary → Production) in Altium.
• Verify manufacturer part numbers and alternates; ensure footprint data matches datasheets.
• Support where-used traceability for components and footprints to identify PCB exposure.
• Collaborate with EE designers to add, retire, and validate library items and communicate changes.
• Assist with PLM alignment and integration of ECAD data with Teamcenter and ERP.
• Partner on bulk library cleanup to reduce duplication and ensure consistency.
• Document library rules, statuses, and conventions in Confluence.
