Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior ECAD Layout Design Engineer to create complex PWB layouts from schematic inputs. You will contribute to high-density PWBs and collaborate with engineers across disciplines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The role requires deep experience with Mentor Graphics tools (DxDesigner, Expedition VX), strong attention to manufacturability with DFM input, and proficient communication.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of PWB design or drafting experience with specified tools.
• Associate degree or technical certificate; electronics theory preferred.
• Experience with high-density PWBs and advanced packaging layout techniques.
• Ability to follow processes and work instructions quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical engineers with the design and layout of PWBs from schematics.
• Develop moderate to highly complex PWB designs and related documentation.
• Interface with DFM engineers to ensure manufacturability.
• Edit constraints and enter design data; communicate progress to management.
