Job summary

Draper is seeking an ECAD Layout and Implementation Group Leader in Cambridge, MA to guide a team of PCB layout designers. The role focuses on expert ECAD design, standards, and mentoring across hardware and electrical engineering groups.

The successful candidate will oversee complex, high-density PCB layouts, ensure DFM compliance, and drive process improvements with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise tools. A US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in design, development, and management of complex systems.
• Eligibility for US government security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Subject Matter Expert for ECAD layout and standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and train PCB layout designers; manage a 10–20 person team.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary ECAD/MCAD efforts to ensure layouts fit mechanical enclosures and meet DFM guidelines.
• Interface with hardware and electrical engineers to clarify design constraints and requirements.
