Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA seeks an ECAD Group Leader to guide PCB layout teams in day‑to‑day design execution. You will apply circuit board design standards, tool flows, and DFM guidelines while mentoring staff and collaborating with hardware and electrical engineers.

You will shape group capabilities, develop roadmaps, and align Draper’s offerings with customer priorities. A security clearance is required and salary reflects extensive experience in complex systems.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering, design, development, and management experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Subject Matter Expert for ECAD layout.
• Oversee standard and advanced circuit board design methods.
• Ensure design for manufacturing guidelines are met before release.
• Supervise, mentor, and train PCB layout designers.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary ECAD/MCAD efforts with teams.
• Write job requisitions and participate in interviewing candidates.
• Shape Draper’s technology offerings and align with customer priorities.
• Conduct performance evaluations and staff development.
