Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager for its East Region. You will lead a regional team ofProposal Specialists, coordinating with engineering, BD, and marketing to deliver clear, compelling RFP/RFQ responses for complex engineering and construction opportunities.

Responsibilities include developing proposals, stabilizing processes, overseeing schedules, and mentoring staff to ensure high-quality, on-time submissions. AEC industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15+ years of proposal management experience including leadership responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign to develop professional proposal materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clear, persuasive content.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a regional Proposal Team across multiple divisions and pursuits.
• Develop and optimize proposal management processes, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with marketing, BD, and technical teams to craft client-focused messaging.
• Plan schedules, content assignments, and review processes to ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide regular reporting on pipeline, resources, and risks to leadership.
• Support client interviews and presentations with compelling slide content.
