Qualifications

• 5+ years of Senior Underwriting experience within E&S / Excess & Surplus Lines.
• Strong technical underwriting and risk selection experience.
• Proven ability to manage a profitable book and develop broker relationships.
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of other underwriters.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; insurance designations are a plus

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal E&S business, including complex and higher-severity risks.
• Manage and grow a profitable book of business.
• Build strong relationships with key wholesale brokers and agency partners.
• Provide underwriting guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior team members.
• Partner with internal teams on product development, market trends, and process improvements.
• Support agency visits, industry events, and other business development initiatives.
