Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced designer to perform drafting and design work under a Drafting Manager. The role involves generating detailed AutoCAD/CADWorx drawings and coordinating with engineers, designers, vendors, and management.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of related experience, strong accuracy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Occasional travel for field data may be required, with a focus on quality and timely execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with drafting/design associate degree.
• 10+ years of related drafting/design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and CADWorx 3D modeling software.
• Working knowledge of Aeries CARS Cable and Raceway Systems.
• Strong MS Word, Excel & Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design duties per company standards and engineering practices.
• Create 3D models using AutoCAD and CADWorx.
• Generate scaled and non-scaled drawings and maintain drawings.
• Print, plot, and file drawings.
• Occasional travel for field data collection.
• Prioritize, schedule, plan, and execute assigned work.
• Communicate with engineers, designers, vendors, and management.
• Take responsibility for quality and accuracy of work.
• Identify problems and propose solutions.
