Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Engineering Designer to create technical drawings using CAD software, including Solid Edge 3D and ACAD 2D, and to support heavy equipment design across engineering teams.

You will revise drawings, maintain records, plot/print for production, ensure adherence to company drawing standards, assist other designers, and contribute to safety and quality requirements while using MS Office for documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical hardware drawings.
• GD&T is preferred.
• Understanding of basic math and print reading is required.
• Basic written, typing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic circuits a plus.

Responsibilities

• Using CAD software, generate new drawings as assigned
• Maintain drafting related records; i.e. number logs, filing, etc.
• Perform routine revisions as directed by department engineers.
• Plot/print drawings for production personnel or others as needed.
• Complete work in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner.
• Understand and use all existing and future company drawing standards.
• Use Solid Edge 3D, ACAD 2D, Microsoft Office programs
• Adhere to all company safety policies, work rules and standard operating procedures.
• Assist other designing engineers as needed.
• Other duties as required.
