Job summary

Pelican Energy Consultants seeks a Senior E&I Designer in Covington, LA. You will perform design work under a Drafting Manager, generate detailed drawings, and guide drafters on projects.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or 2-year Associates in Drafting and Design or equivalent.
• Experience: 10+ years related experience.
• Operational knowledge of AutoCAD and CADWorx 3D Modeling software; 1 year with Aeries CARS.

Responsibilities

• Perform design duties using company standards and engineering practices.
• 3D modeling in AutoCAD on assigned projects.
• Generate scaled and non-scaled drawings; print/plot/file drawings.
• Occasional travel for field data collection.
• Prioritize and manage multiple high-paced assignments to meet deadlines.
• Communicate with engineers, designers, vendors, and management.

POSITION SUMMARY

Capable of performing design work as assigned and mentored by a Drafting Manager. Designers are required to have a working knowledge of the components they are designing and are capable of generating detailed drawings within their assigned disciplines. Designers will also delegate work to drafters on assigned projects.

• Perform design duties utilizing company standards and engineering practices.
• Computer Aided 3D Modeling on assigned projects utilizing AutoCAD.
• Capably of generating different types of "scaled" and "non-scaled" drawings.
• Printing, plotting & filing of drawings.
• Occasionally travel out of town for short periods of time as required by projects and assignments to gather field data.
