Job summary

Stellantis Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Chief Engineer for Axle/Driveline/4WD systems to drive architecture, integration, and validation from concept to launch. You will lead teams across hardware, software, calibration, and validation while interfacing with propulsion, vehicle, and supplier functions to meet cost, timing, performance, and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and relevant experience.
• 8+ years of overall engineering experience in driveline, axles, transmission or related areas.
• Proactive DFSS and Green Belt certification is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with DFMEA, DRBFM, DVP&R and DRBTR.
• Experience managing programs and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for transmission, axles, driveline, transfer case and 4WD systems.
• Oversee hardware, software, calibration, validation and supplier interfaces.
• Lead system integration reviews, design freeze and technical signoffs.
• Coordinate cost, schedule and program milestones across teams.
• Lead DFMEA/DRBFM activities and risk management.
• Collaborate with PM, Purchasing, Validation and Manufacturing for program execution.
