Job summary

Stellantis is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer in Michigan to lead transmission, driveline and gear reducer programs, delivering hardware, software, calibration, and system integration on time and within budget.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive DFMEA, DVP&R and GD&T, coordinate with PRC, DEVVAL and other stakeholders, and ensure project milestones align with vehicle families’ objectives. Strong program management and automotive experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of engineering experience in product development design and release with propulsion systems experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading global teams
• Advanced English language skills
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and quality processes
• Proficient in DFMEA, DVP&R and GD&T

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the chief engineering teams for transmission and driveline projects.
• Oversee system DVP&R and support component DVP&R development
• Coordinate with PRC managers, DEVVAL team, and other CE teams
• Deliver prototype and production transmission solutions meeting vehicle requirements
• Coordinate technical cost reductions and benchmarking activities
• Represent CE in high-level meetings and build readiness tasks
• Drive risk management activities with QRE team (DFMEAs, DFSS, LUR)
• Ensure alignment of design controls and documentation across programs
