Job summary

KoBold Metals is seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer to design, plan, and oversee drilling across its global exploration portfolio. You will translate exploration objectives into hole designs, drilling programs, and operational plans that deliver safe, high-quality data at optimal cost.

Reporting to the VP Field Operations, you will collaborate daily with Geologists, Data Scientists, Field Operations, and Drilling teams. Remote work available with global travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive drilling-engineering experience in oil/gas or minerals.
• Fully competent in standard drilling techniques and multi-program operations.
• English fluency required; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead hole design, drilling methods, and rig specs for complex programs.
• Oversee execution, safety, and data collection objectives across sites.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with scientists and HSE.
