Placements24 is seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer to join a fully remote operations team supporting projects across South Africa. Plan, execute, and optimize complex drilling campaigns from a distance, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of progressive drilling engineering experience.
• Expertise in managed pressure drilling (MPD).
• Proficiency with drilling simulation software.
• Strong remote communication and distributed-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drilling programs for various well types.
• Perform well cost estimations and manage budgets.
• Oversee drilling operations remotely, including rig selection.
• Analyze drilling data in real-time to identify risks.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to meet objectives.
• Provide technical guidance to drilling engineers and supervisors.
