Job summary

KoBold Metals is seeking a Field Operations Lead to plan and execute field activities across North America, delivering 1–3 projects per year in the United States and Canada. You will report to the Field Operations Director NA & Europe and coordinate with exploration, data science, and engineering teams in a high-stakes, remote environment.

The role emphasizes safe field execution, rigorous planning, procurement oversight, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Over a decade of field operations experience in mineral exploration or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of North American construction methods and terrain-specific execution.
• Experience with procurement, RFPs, bids, and contract administration.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary field teams and manage safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan complex exploration projects across North America, including drilling and surveys.
• Lead 1–3 concurrent projects with accountability for scope, schedule, and budget.
• Direct procurement, contractor evaluation, and contract administration.
• Develop risk assessments and mitigation plans considering seasonal and terrain factors.
• Lead project kick-offs and coordinate cross-functional teams and contractors.
• Oversee site remediation and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
