Job summary

KoBold Metals seeks a skilled engineer to develop state-of-the-art mineral exploration data instruments and field hardware. You will simulate sensor performance, calibrate systems, and deploy hardware in the field with vendor partners.

Working with data scientists and geoscientists, you will build models to predict ore-grade mineralization and help guide field programs worldwide. The role offers full-time exempt status, remote work options across the US/Canada, competitive salary plus equity,

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field (geoscience, data science, or equivalent).
• Strong Python and data-analysis skills with hands-on project experience.
• Experience building and deploying analytics/models to real-world data.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy mineral exploration data collection instruments.
• Develop proprietary exploration software tools.
• Curate diverse geospectral, geophysical, geochemical, and geologic data for KoBold’s data system.
• Build predictive models for ore-grade mineralization in 2D/3D.
• Create visualizations to evaluate model performance and data features.
• Collaborate with data scientists, geoscientists, and engineers to deploy multi-dataset algorithms.
