Job summary

Micron Technology Inc. in Boise, ID is seeking a software-focused test engineer to develop, debug, and maintain code that enables parallel testing of advanced memory devices on Automated Test Equipment (ATE).

You will design test plans and create test programs using C++ and Python, optimize test algorithms, and work with global teams to reduce test times and manufacturing costs while ensuring data integrity and device reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering or related field with 4 years of experience.
• Programming skills for developing test algorithms, including C++.
• Unix/Linux development environments and command line tools.
• Python/Perl scripting for automated test development and data extraction.
• Experience with data analysis, SPC, and statistical modeling.
• Familiarity with CMOS memory testers and ATE platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and maintain code that enables parallel testing of advanced memory devices.
• Support R&D and interact with global teams, including test hardware design and debugging.
• Develop efficient test flows and optimize test algorithms to reduce times and costs.
• Design test plans for DRAM tests covering software, hardware, defect coverage, and characterization.
• Develop test programs using C++ and Python on ATE, release to manufacturing, and improve via automation.
