Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics in the United States seeks a Domestic Agent III to coordinate and execute complex domestic freight activities, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation. You will manage escalations, ensure compliance, and support junior staff to maintain accurate operations.

This role emphasizes communication with clients and vendors, multi-modal routing, and adherence to IATA/TSA rules, with opportunities to contribute to KPI reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 7+ years freight forwarding experience required; 10+ years preferred.
• 3+ years SAP/AS400 experience preferred.
• 3+ years advanced knowledge of IATA and TSA regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Quoting, tracking and tracing domestic freight shipments daily via air/ground.
• Route freight across multiple transportation modes per client requests.
• Proactively communicate with clients regarding freight status.
• Communicate with vendors on dispatch, routing and rates.
• Assist local sales and domestic offices with air/ground freight issues.
• Manage daily on-time and defect codes, carrier re-weights, and master rates.
• Assist in compiling KPI reports weekly/monthly as needed.
• Ensure paperwork, labeling and scanning for accuracy.
• Understand requirements for handling high-consequence shipments.
• Responsible for processing monthly inventory and billing postings.
• Support compliance training and certifications; perform other duties.
