Job summary

RTX in Woburn, MA seeks a Principal Systems Administrator to design and maintain secure Windows and Linux environments for classified programs. You will implement patches, manage VMware infrastructure, and support imaging and automation across critical workloads.

Strong scripting, DoD clearance, and experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE, and Active Directory are required. This is a full-time onsite role with occasional travel and interim clearance to start.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree typically with 5+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 3+ years.
Able to obtain/possess U.S. government DoD secret clearance and interim clearance to start.
Experience administering Windows and Linux servers, VMware virtualization, and patching.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient Windows/Linux enterprise environments.
Coordinate with Cyber Security to maintain DoD compliance and STIG implementation.
Deploy and manage virtual infrastructure with VMware ESXi and vCenter; patching and remediation.
Automate deployment and imaging using MECM/SCCM, PXE, and PowerShell scripting.
