Job summary

ASEC, Inc. is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support the Navy’s LVC training environment at NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex, VA. You will administer Windows and Linux servers, coordinate virtualization efforts, and ensure robust storage, DR, and security controls for mission-critical simulations.

The role requires DoD RMF/STIG experience, DoD Top Secret clearance, and 7+ years of relevant work, with duties spanning patching, recovery, and distributed training support across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with seven years of related experience.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with virtualization: VMware, Hyper‑V, or equivalent.
• Experience implementing RMF, STIGs, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience supporting DoD/Navy/NAVAIR systems or mission support environments.

Responsibilities

• Administering Windows and Linux servers for simulation, training, and mission planning.
• Managing VMware, Hyper‑V, or cloud-based virtualization environments.
• Maintaining enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Applying system patches, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Installing and maintaining simulation software and middleware.
• Supporting distributed training environments across sites.
• Ensuring servers and apps are configured for large‑scale events.
• Implementing RMF controls and STIG compliance; conducting vulnerability remediation.
